”Welcome to Retsina” is the first event in a new meeting series launched by The Greek Kitchen: “The Greek Kitchen Wednesdays”.
Retsina is the most known and probably the most hated Greek wine ever. Does it deserve these names? We’ll try to find out.
We’ll talk about Greek wines, Retsina’s origins, various types of Retsina, and ways to enjoy this interesting and underestimated wine, altogether with the traditional Greek meze on the table.
We’ll taste 5 Retsinas from different regions, grapes, and producers:
- Retsina of Lemnos (Garalis)
- Retsina of Lemnos Rose (Garalis)
- Kourtaki Retsina (Kourtaki)
- Malamatina Retsina (Malamatina)
- Retsina of Mesogia Black Label (Georgas Family)
We’ll start at 7pm on Wednesday June 7th in a private room in The Greek Kitchen (889 10th Avenue, New York)
The places are limited so please get your free ticket now:
